Monday, December 31, 2007--New Year's Eve

On this day:
In 2002: "Old man in! Old man in!" "Old man out! Old man out!"

So today was the New Year's Eve party with me and Kellie and Connie and Little Vivian and Quiet Robin, but Kellie had a last minute emergency and couldn't make it. That made me sad.

Pictures were taken, but not that many. I was gonna upload them to Facebook, but Facebook's photo uploader is epic fail.

We ended up playing Mario Party for the Wii, then Wii Tennis and Wii Bowling, then Mario Party again. Apparently, Little Vivian is better than me at Wii.
Saturday, December 29, 2007--Today, I went to visit Chao in Mountain View to play a marathon of Rock Band, including the 58 song Endless Setlist (which we earned 276 stars out of a total possible of 290).

Other highlights include: Ordering the Super Burrito at a nearby burrito place, which turned out to be a 2-foot monstrosity.
Friday, December 28, 2007--Today, I and Justin and Ryan went to Sushi Masa for lunch. Sushi Masa is quite better than Ariake, but I haven't eaten enough of their sushi to determine if they're as good as or better than Kiku.

On this day:
In 2002: I beat FFX.

Then, we came back to my place to play Wii, and Ryan made a Mii that's even sillier than Little Vivian's.
Thursday, December 27, 2007--Today, I played some FFTactics for the PSP. I discovered a "spoony bard" reference in the first Wiegraf battle. When Ramza tells Wiegraf that his brothers are willing to negotiate and let him live, Wiegraf response, "Ha! No spoony bard could spin a sweeter tale!"
Wednesday, December 26, 2007--Today, I went to eat Koobideh for lunch with Justin, then came back and played MtG at my place.

On this day:
In 2003: The birth of my Red-Green Sliver Beatdown deck.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007--Merry X-mas!

Me and Justin and two of his cousins went to watch Aliens vs Predator: Requiem. It was entertaining. They had slightly more character development. You know, before they killed them all off.
Monday, December 24, 2007--Today, Justin showed up and we played some Magic the Gathering.

Justin: *imitating Hamster* I roll a 23! *rolls two 20-sided die and gets a 15 and an 8*

Then, Chao showed up and we played on the Nintendo Wii. Amusements.

On this day:
In 2002: I get accepted to CalTech... it was my "Christmas gift".

Sunday, December 23, 2007--I met Princess for lunch at Cheesecake Factory at Oakridge Mall. Then afterwards, she took me shopping because I needed a "woman's opinion" on what clothes to wear.

On this day:
In 2005: I watch Memoirs of a Geisha with Princess. I had a good time. I mean, there was a pretty girl. None in the movie, though.

Later, I went to Little Vivian's place for an Xmas party. Attending were Little Vivian, Quiet Robin, Kellie, Kellie's brother, Franklin, and me. Connie couldn't make it because she went to some kind of concert.

In the meantime, Wii played the we, and Little Vivian got mad at me for trying to take pictures of her without her approval.

I took pictures. Pictures are on Facebook.
Saturday, December 22, 2007--Today, I flew back to San Jose. Interestingly enough, there was barely any traffic this time, and I made it to the gate with plenty of time to spare. Go figure. (I took the taxi this time because paying for parking for 2 weeks isn't worth it.)
Thursday, December 20, 2007--
On this day:
In 2005: I beat FF4 Hardtype.

Tuesday, December 18, 2007--
On this day:
In 2005: I implement the Journal full-text search feature and the Overheards.
In 2003: The birth of the SVBrain Rydia.

Monday, December 17, 2007--
On this day:
In 2003: Tracy and the CS61a final...

Sunday, December 16, 2007--
On this day:
In 2005: The birth of Dread Dredge.
In 2003: "Some of us are older than we are."
In 2002: I start doing Limericks on my website.

Saturday, December 15, 2007--Happy Birthday Emma and Stacy!

On this day:
In 2003: "One years ago, Mary was one years older than Mary was one years ago."

Friday, December 14, 2007--
On this day:
In 2006: The Hanukkah Even Wind Storm
In 2003: "Could you please tell your Away Message to shut the **** up?!?"

Thursday, December 13, 2007--
On this day:
In 2006: I lose faith in the W3C.
In 2005: I watch Memento with Princess.
In 2002: Emma Heffernan makes her first uncensored appearance in my Journal.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007--Office Holiday party.

I took pictures. Pictures are on Facebook.

On this day:
In 2005: "Dwayne, it's morning. Why isn't your cell phone on? Call me back!"

Tuesday, December 11, 2007--Me and JKern and MichCh go shoe shopping, 'cause apparently I need shoes for the Office party tomorrow.
Sunday, December 9, 2007--I watched the new Futurama DVD. It is awesome.
Saturday, December 8, 2007--Happy 17th Birthday Little Vivian!

On half-impulse, I bought a PSP, FFTactics for PSP, Disgaea for PSP, and then Michael recommended Joan of Arc. So I did.
Friday, December 7, 2007--
On this day:
In 2004: Karen Yang can roll her tongue 3 times.

Thursday, December 6, 2007--
On this day:
In 2004: The lost and found watch incident. (Incidentally, I finally changed the watch strap... as of Jan 11, 2006.)
In 2002: Sarah Tseng copies my homework... photocopies, that is!

Wednesday, December 5, 2007--
On this day:
In 2003: I beat FF1.

Tuesday, December 4, 2007--After work today, I went home and saw part 2 and 3 of Tin Man. (Part 2 aired yesterday, but I missed it in favor of satisfying my cravings for The Sims, but SciFi channel showed a rerun of part 2 just before airing part 3.) It's gotten better in part 2 and part 3, but the acting and writing are still a little... not good. Lost Room was way better, and I'm not just saying that because Elle "Dakota's Little Sister" Fanning was in it.

On this day:
In 2003: The birth of SiniticImpaler, the Diablo 2 Spear Barb.
In 2002: "Good news is, I found the rest of the music. Bad news is, there are 20 more pages."

Also, I had recently on impulse bought Viva Pinata for the PC, so today, on impulse, I installed it and played it for a few hours. It seems to be a huge A.D.D. fest. It's like, hey look, there's a pinata, hey look, there's another pinata, and I'm just like, leave me alone, I'm trying to breed Taffies here.
Monday, December 3, 2007--Today, I made my triumphant return to the gym, then went home and watched the Season 2 Finale of Heroes. It wasn't as good or exciting as the Season 1 Finale. I blame it on the Writer's Guild Strike.

Then, I had a craving for The Sims, so I did.
Sunday, December 2, 2007--Watched Tin Man, miniseries on SciFi channel. Acting isn't fantastic and special effects look cheap. Not as good as Lost Room, but still fairly entertaining.

On this day:
In 2005: Princess calls me. No one ever calls me!
In 2003: In 2002:

Saturday, December 1, 2007--It snowed today! That makes me happy!

But most of the snow already melted. That makes me sad.

But weather.com promised more snow tonight! That makes me happy!

On this day:
In 2005: I watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Princess.

And it did snow more tonight. But also, JKern's party was tonight. So I decided to do something stupider, crazier, and more impulsive than the last stupidest, craziet, most impulsive thing I've ever done--I drove through the snow on the highway to JKern's place for the party. (And brought baked chicken drumsticks.)
